Tony Gribble

Director & Senior Advisor

I was born in Tauranga. Shortly after I was born, my parents moved to Auckland, where I spent my upbringing and education. I have always been interested in sports. I have played winter and summer sports from a young age through to shortly after having our first child. Then I decided that spending time with my young family was going to be my focus.

Rugby, cricket, tennis and softball were my sports during my school years. Post-school, it was rugby and cricket. I have also enjoyed competing in the Speights Coast to Coast challenge as well as numerous cycle challenges around Taupo. In recent years, I completed the Auckland half marathon.

Out of high school, I started a Bach Management Studies at Waikato University. After the second year, I took a break from studying. I spent time working in various industries including a Fisher and Paykel factory, farming and working in shearing gangs in rural New Zealand before settling into retail.

I progressed into management for several years before moving into territory sales roles covering Taupo north. I worked for BellSouth for some time and then Nokia Mobile Phones until in mid-2006, I got encouraged to look at a profession in the Life Insurance sector.

These previous roles have allowed me the opportunity to engage with people from all walks of life and meeting people from all over New Zealand. Finding out what makes people tick has been one of my passions.

Since starting in the Insurance Profession, I became passionate to meet and assist people in looking after their families and loved ones. From personal experience in August 2008, I have learned the importance of having the right insurance in place to provide for unplanned medical events that rock your life.

I love helping families, self-employed and professionals, understand their circumstances and provide them with the best protection, should something unforeseen happen to them, their loved ones or their business partner.

Being part of the Life Insurance sector, led to becoming part of MRDT, a global association for financial professionals where the top 5% of advisers worldwide belong to. We have an annual meeting in North America where we learn from other like-minded professionals from around the globe. We share insights to help us become better people and better advisers. We bring our learnings back to our own business to enhance the work we do in New Zealand.

I am married to Sheryl, we have 2 adult children and a grandson who we love creating memories with. We share common passions in travel, skiing, and water sports and we look forward to continuing to create more memories for our family in years to come.
